Why a STARR gift card?
We offer a unique experience among gift cards: variety! Whether it’s an elegant dinner for two or a family-friendly night out, our gift cards unlock the door to 35+ restaurants and a world of memorable and delicious dining. Take your recipients on an adventure– from the streets of Mexico City to the tree-lined avenues of Paris, our gift cards offer access to a range of cuisines that are sure to excite any palate.

How do I purchase a gift card?
Online:
You can purchase a physical or digital through our website at starr-restaurants.com/shop-landing
By Phone:
If you wish to place an order by phone, please call 215-27-STARR (78277). Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 10 AM-5 PM EST.
In Person:
Physical gift cards are available at all STARR locations. You can visit our participating locations to purchase our physical gift cards. Click here to see a full list of participating restaurants. Note, La Mercerie does not sell gift cards at this time.

Does Starr Restaurants have a store front location?
Not at this time. Gift cards can be purchased at our participating restaurant locations.

Can I place an order online and pick it up in one of your restaurants?
Yes, but we require 48 hours notice to facilitate the arrangement with the restaurant. Subject to availability. Additional fees may apply

If the gift card is needed urgently, we recommend purchasing in person at one of our locations OR purchasing our digital gift cards HERE.

What are your accepted payment methods?
Physical gift cards:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Digital gift cards:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.

Note, STARR gift cards and VISA pre-paid gift cards is not an accepted form of payment.

Can I buy a gift card with a gift card?
No. STARR Restaurants gift cards cannot be used as a form of payment towards the purchase of another gift card.

Can I purchase a gift card with a custom value?
Yes, you can enter the value of your choice for both our physical and digital gift cards. We also offer popular values for quick selection during purchase.

When will my credit card be charged for my online order?
Your card is charged immediately once you click the ‘Place Order’ button. This purchase will appear on your credit/debit card statement as ‘STARR-RESTAURANTS.COM PHILADELPHIA, PA’.

Why was my order declined?
Transactions are declined for one of two reasons; a mismatch with the billing zip code on file with the bank or because the bank has blocked the transaction.

We recommend double-checking that the billing information is entered correctly and reaching out to your bank to ensure that they are not blocking the payment.

If your billing information is entered correct and the bank has ok’d the purchase but you are still experiencing a decline message, we recommend attempting placing the order on a different device and/or web browser.

Please note, if you received any ‘Declined’ messages before eventually placing a successful order, you will see all attempted transactions listed under your ‘Pending’. These will drop off within the timeframe determined by your banking institution. Only payments correlating with successful orders are collected.

Can I make corrections to my online order after it’s been placed?
If there are errors in your online order, you can contact Gift Card Guest Services at 215-27-STARR (78277) or email info@starrgiftcard.com for assistance.

How do I cancel my purchase?
Starr restaurants gift card purchases are non-refundable. However, if the order has not shipped and it is within 24hrs after purchase, you can reach out to info@starrgiftcard.com and our team will be able to assist.

What can the gift card recipient expect to receive?
A STARR Restaurants classic gift card is a physical card, much like a credit card. The card will arrive in a STARR Restaurants branded envelope and easily identifiable, as to not be mistaken as junk mail.

All classic gift cards come with our standard Starr branded cardstock holder. We also offer a premium gift packaging option, with soft matte finish and magnetic closure. Both holders have ample space for a To, From and Message.

When adding gift cards to your card, you can enter your personalized message under the ‘Optional Message’ field. Our team handwrites all messages for added touch of care.

What if I didn’t receive an email confirmation of my order?
There is a chance that your confirmation will be treated as spam and/or junk. Please check those folders to recover these emails or do a search for ‘Starr Restaurants’. You will receive emails confirming receipt of your order and notifying you that your purchase has been shipped.

Occasionally, stringent firewalls prevent delivery of these automated emails. If you can’t locate your invoice in your spam or promotions folders, please contact info@starrgiftcard.com and our team will manually resend your invoice.

Sending

When will my order ship?
All orders that are received before 1pm EST will be fulfilled and shipped out that business day.
Orders after 1pm EST will be fulfilled and shipped the following business day. Business days are Monday-Friday, with the exception of national holidays. Occasionally shipments may experience a delay of 1-2 days during the high volume of the holidays or extreme weather.

Where does my order ship from?
Your order will ship from our offices in Philadelphia, PA. We ship our physical gift cards via United States Postal Service and FedEx. Package arrival time depends on the destination’s distance from Philadelphia, day it was ordered and the shipping option selected.

When will my order arrive in the mail? / How quickly can I expect my order to be delivered?
We have several shipping options for classic gift cards with various speeds:

United States Postal Service:
Standard (5 – 10 Business Days) *No Tracking
Priority, with Tracking (2 – 5 Business Days)

FedEx:
Ground (Up to 5 Business Days)
Express Saver (3 Business Days)
2Day (2 Business Days)
Standard Overnight (1 Business Day, Delivery by 5 PM)
Priority Overnight (1 Business Day, Delivery by 10:30 AM)
First Overnight (1 Business Day, Delivery by 9 AM)

Shipping rates may vary depending on shipping address and order volume.

Business days are Monday-Friday. Orders placed before 1PM EST Mon-Fri will be shipped same-day; orders placed after 1PM EST will be shipped the following business day.

We also offer a $20 courier service option for addresses within the Philadelphia area. Please note that there must be a secure place to deliver to, i.e.: mailbox, door attendant, front desk etc.

Can I send a gift card via email or text message?
SMS/Text is not available at this time for sending our digital gift cards, however you can absolutely send them via email to yourself or directly to the recipient.

Options to send at specific date and time are available to select during the purchase process, before checkout.
If you do not select a date and time, it will send shortly after purchase is complete.

Digital Gift Cards

How do I access my digital gift card?
To access your digital gift card, click the ‘View My EGift Card’ link in your email sent by starrrestaurantsgiftcards@cashstar.com. When you follow the link, you will be prompted to enter the email address associated with the gift card. You should then see the digital gift card a page showing the gift card number, barcode and its value.

Note, this page can be printed or displayed on your phone in restaurant at the time of check payment. If you choose to keep it on your mobile device, we recommend saving the page as a pdf and storing it on your phone to ensure easy access while dining and to avoid any possible mobile data / service interruptions.

How do I print a digital gift card to give as a gift?
On the digital gift card purchasing page, select the ‘A Friend’ option. When prompted to enter your recipient’s email address, enter your own email address instead and complete the transaction in the usual manner.

The digital gift card will be delivered to your email inbox typically within 30 mins from starrrestaurantsgiftcards@cashstar.com.

Click the ‘View My EGift Card’ link and enter your email when prompted. This will take you to the digital gift card page showing the eGift card number, barcode and its value. You can then proceed with printing out this page, which can be gifted directly to the recipient.

When will the recipient get the digital gift card in their email?
The eGift card email will be sent to the recipient on your chosen date.

Delivery is automatically set to today’s date unless otherwise specified; if you do not choose a different date, the digital gift card email will send on the purchase date, typically within 30 minutes after your transaction is completed.

My digital gift card never arrived. What do I do?
There is a chance that your digital gift card will be treated as spam and/or junk. Please check those folders to recover these emails or do a search for ‘cashstar’ in your inbox. Occasionally, stringent firewalls prevent delivery of these automated emails, particularly if the gift card was sent to a work or educational institution email.

If you still can’t locate your digital gift card email, please contact info@starrgiftcard.com with your order number.

I can no longer find my digital gift card email. What do I do?
If you have lost a printed copy of your digital gift card, you can re-print the card by following the ‘View My eGift Card’ link in the original gift card email.

If you are having trouble locating your gift card email, we would be happy to assist you with that. Please reach out to info@starrgiftcard.com.

Can I convert my electronic gift card to a plastic gift card or vice versa?
Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer gift card balances from plastic to electronic or vice versa, as our electronic gift cards are distributed by our gift card partner Cashstar and our plastic gift cards are processed internally.

Can I check the balance of my STARR gift card online?

Where can I use my STARR Restaurants gift card?
You can use your gift card at any participating STARR Restaurant. Click here to view or download a complete list of restaurants.

STARR Restaurants gift cards can be used for dine-in or carry-out from any participating STARR Restaurant. Gift card payment can be applied towards the purchase of food, beverage (including alcohol), tax and gratuity.

STARR Restaurants gift cards CANNOT be used as a form of payment towards the purchase of gift cards or used as a deposit for a group dining event.

STARR Restaurants gift cards are not compatible forms of payment for third party food delivery services (i.e., Caviar, Dining In, Grub Hub, DoorDash).

The following properties do not sell or redeem Starr Restaurants gift cards:

What do I need to present to redeem my gift card?
Physical gift cards:
In order to redeem your classic gift card, please present the physical gift card when you are ready to pay at the restaurant. Without the gift card present, restaurants are not able to redeem classic gift cards.

Digital gift cards:
In order to redeem your electronic gift card, please present the gift card page, either as a print-out or on the screen of your device. This page will show the number and barcode, which are needed to redeem the card.

Do I need to print my digital gift card to redeem it?
To redeem your electronic gift card, you can present the card page, either as a print-out or on the screen of your device. This page will show the number and barcode, which are needed to redeem the card.

Do I need to let the restaurant know on my reservation that I will be paying with a gift card?
It is not necessary to alert the restaurant prior to dining. Your gift card can simply be presented at the time of check payment. Ahead of your reservation date, feel free to check the balance of your gift card HERE.

Can I use my STARR gift cards for take-out orders?
Yes. In order to use your gift cards as payment for take-out, you will need to place your order directly with the restaurant. The payment will be taken at the time of pick-up.

Please refer to the restaurant’s website for hours of operation and contact for placing your order.

Note, STARR Restaurants Gift Cards are not compatible forms of payment for third party food delivery services (i.e., Caviar, Dining In, Grub Hub, DoorDash).

Do STARR Restaurants gift cards expire or have restrictions?
Our gift cards do not have an expiration date and do not decrease in value over time. Any balance left will remain on the gift card until it is fully redeemed.

There are no black-out dates or restrictions. Our gift cards can be used towards the purchase of food, beverage (including alcohol), tax and gratuity.

Gift cards cannot be purchased with a Starr Restaurant gift card.

Can I reload my STARR Restaurants gift card?
Yes, you can reload your classic gift card at any participating restaurant. We would also be happy to assist you in reloading the card over the phone by calling 215-27-STARR (78277)

Are STARR gift cards refundable or exchangeable for cash?
All Starr Restaurants gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. However, our gift cards do not expire and do not lose value over time.

Replacements

What if I lose my gift card?
Your STARR Restaurants Gift Card has cash value and should be safeguarded as such. If you lose your gift card or suspect that someone has copied or stolen your card, contact info@starrgiftcard.com immediately. If your STARR Restaurants Gift Card has not been redeemed or has remaining value, we can cancel the original card and issue you a new STARR Restaurants Gift Card for that value upon purchase confirmation.

What do I do if my order does not arrive?
We are happy to replace gift cards providing that they do not arrive within the specified shipping window. Please contact info@starrgiftcard.com. with your order number to facilitate a replacement.

Can I regift my gift card?
You can certainly regift your gift card. Please note, however, that we may not be able to change the message or names on eGift cards.

Purchase $500, receive a $50 bonus card.

Every additional $250, receive an additional $50 card!
